Yes I got hacked today. What a pain.

I had to factory reset my phone. Changed passwords to email addresses and many more. Just signed up this morning.

Never again!!!! And can't sign into the site to delete my account.

Have my pof account been hacked ? I received message with my profile pic attached two days later.

I sent my friend a message he did not receive it nor I cant see that i sent him a message. Pof need to get better, it's bad enough with scammers, female pictures with the male picture. I'm not looking for a female why would they pic be in the category with the men?

I don't understand that. I have been using this app off and on came across my share of scammers.

My account was also hacked and my telephone number was changed. The number on the account is starts with country code +44.

I set the account up years ago, and I rarely logged on. I began receiving many emails, and wanted to know why. Upon checking I discovered the telephone number change. I emailed POF, their response was to reset my password.

Absolutely worthless in customer service! I did not want to delete the account because of the time and effort in developing the account.

I eventually decided it would be in my best interest to delete the account. This obviously happens far to often for POF not to have better ways of protecting accounts.

strange thing to say, but I'm starting to think they are in on it with the hackers. Class action lawsuit anyone?

my account was hacked two or three nights ago, I've had an active account for something like three years. I have paid for tokens so technically I'm a paying customer. not only does POF make it nearly impossible to contact them, but they make it a habit of being very lazy to respond. I gave them more information than the average person would.

All my identifying information that they have on file, the step by steps of what happened, and I prove to them that I was myself. Then I emailed seven more times. The thing is, they were not getting back to me at all. Someone finally got back to me and you know what their response was?

" simply delete your account and create a new one. I can help you with deleting your account" I responded that that was unacceptable and I took many hours refining what I wrote in my profile, not to mention all of my pictures and I filled out their chemistry test which takes a very long time. So essentially I had not only money but time invested in my profile. they wrote back again with a generic response saying to reset my password.

I could not reset my password because the hacker changed the phone number on file to a phone number with a country code of +44. Their authentication process is dated and Antiquated because it doesn't take into account any information prior to the change in phone number - meaning if I register with a phone number and email address, then a hacker gets into my account and changes the phone number on file, the system has no idea what my original phone number was and only goes off of the latest phone number. So of course I'm not going to know what the hackers phone number is! long story short, I can't get into my account because of this authentication process.

They finally right back to me again and say due to suspicious activity, your account has been closed.. I agree with the previous commenter that says they are running a clown show. Match group was just recently sued by the FTC.

Maybe this has something to do with the very poor service recently. The representative had the nerve at the end of the email to say " why don't you create a new account!" Unbelievable.

It sounds like the entire operation has turned into a clown show. The same thing happened to me.

I had just gotten up for the day at has spent the past over an hour trying to find a way to retrieve my account. I want to keep my account. The hackers entered my account, change my verification phone number, changed all my pictures but actually kept all the texts that I have written in my profile which is a good thing. Because I still want that text.

POF makes it extremely difficult to contact them. It's like they don't even want to deal with issues.

Send POF has a paid platform where you pay for tokens or pay for a premium account - even though the service is Free by default - I say this calls for a class action lawsuit. Just the fact that you go through so much frustration to secure your account, and it's nearly impossible to contact a human being.

I feel your pain. The same thing happened to me.

Profile was hacked. I noticed 100s of emails coming into my junk mail.

I haven't logged into the account for months. All of a sudden they stopped. Unable to login and "forgot password" did not send me any emails. I never had an emails to say "email or password changed" either.

I sent emails to pr@***.com, safety@***.com and csr@***.com I said i had been hacked so please delete the account. I had a reply from the first saying "They confirm that I deleted my account" I call BS here as that's not what I said.

I asked them to delete it. So god only knows if my stupid account is still on there being run by a sc

So today I started getting all kinds of messages and matches and I haven't been on POF for almost two years! I was able to login but then it immediately takes me to verification screen and states they sent me a text with a verification code but the country code listed is 54 (which is Argentina, I looked it up) and it blocks the rest of the number so I can't see it.

The site won't allow me to change the number until I verify it's "really me" by responding to the verification text! I'm so upset about this. And how are all the messages and pictures and notifications coming to my current phone, which now isn't listed as being connected to my account? Of course POF website states there is no phone customer service because everything is of a technical matter and can be resolved online.

That's a load of crap. I don't even know what my profile looks like, but from the pics and messages that are coming on my phone, it's not my old profile!

My account was hacked a few weeks ago. My profile remained the same.

I ended up with over 1,500 messages. The hacker sent our *** pics. I immediately changed my profile, blocked people and just didnโ€™t open a bunch of messages. I have now been hacked again however I canโ€™t even get into my account.

I request new password and the emails donโ€™t come. Assuming the hacker has changed the email?

Iโ€™m so pissed. I want my photos off of the site.

My account was hacked for the second time. Yesterday my account sent out messages saying "hey, what's up" If a receiver answered it then sent a "looking for a hookup" message.

I just found out today my account has been hacked by some girl that removed all of my pictures and posted her own racy pictures. Iโ€™m 66 and she clearly is not!

LOL I logged off after taking off my โ€œaboutโ€ info to show that I had been hacked. Now, I canโ€™t get back on to even delete my account as the password or something was evidently changed by this girl. I hadnโ€™t even been on there in awhile as I had hidden my profile. She is trying to reroute them to her email or her website and is asking for credit card info.

I sent POF an email regarding this but Iโ€™m sure they wonโ€™t do anything or even respond.

Way to go POF. You truly are the worst!

Account hacked and neither the phone authentication nor email password reset are allowing me to change my password to log back on. Way to go hackers.

Congrats on your evil genius plan. You will have no recourse because you are certainly highly evolved beyond a creator, right?

Rite... ha.
